A LITTLE ABOUT US
OUR STORY
In 2013, Jen and her husband decided to start a family. As new parents, one of their top priorities was to provide their child with nothing but the best natural products and ingredients, not only when it came to food but also in what they were going to put on her skin. However, they quickly realized that there were very few natural skincare products available on the market at an affordable price.

Frustrated by the lack of options, Jen started making her own soaps for her daughter. After carefully researching, testing and sourcing the best plant-based ingredients possible, the end result was a natural soap that they could feel good about and felt equally good for their skin. Soon after, she was making them for family and friends, and the next thing she knew she was staying home with her daughter and starting her own business!

What began several years ago in a little kitchen in Orangeville, Ontario has now grown into a full-scale brick-and-mortar business. Today, Bridlewood Soaps supplies products to over 100 stores across Canada while maintaining its small-batch process and natural formulas.

Your skin is the largest organ on your body. That’s why it deserves nothing but the best treatment possible. Unfortunately, most commercially made soaps contain harmful ingredients like detergents, fillers, chemicals and petroleum. These ingredients are known irritants and can cause everything from swelling, redness, itchiness or even outright allergic reactions.

OUR PROCESS
Our commitment to being all natural extends beyond the ingredients themselves but also to our process itself. That’s why from beginning to end, we strive to make soap the way it should be made. Our soaps are made in small-batches using a cold-process method. We use only the highest quality botanicals, essential oils and luxurious butters that are sourced locally whenever possible. We also love to work with local artists and shops to help bring our products to life and into the hands of our customers.

Each product is formulated using different combinations and percentages of oils and other ingredients to ensure that you find the perfect soap for your skin. The vibrant colour in our soaps is a direct result of the colourful herbs, botanicals and clays from the earth we use. Our soaps are also made with a high 'super fat' content, meaning that there are leftover oils in the bar after the soap is made. As a result, and given their naturally high glycerine content, our soaps will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth, and never dry or tight like other soaps out there.
